If the name Cubana Lust doesn’t Ring a bell to you buy know, chances are you are either blind,Def or Crazy! she has got every girl in the mirror trying to make their booty clap, and every guy with there jaws dropped and eyes glued to the computer screen. She has graced the cover of countless men’s magazines and has been the main girl in all your favorite rappers videos. Her tantalizing Latin curves and gyrating hips are enough to make a priest and a gay man say damn!
Cubana took time out of her busy schedule to talk to us about what she is currently doing and Future plans. Once you read this interview you will see that she not just a big butt and a smile, her hustle is poison!
Whats up mami I noticed your myspace page head lines reads “I got the internet going nuts”. Are you shocked by the publicity the youtube videos have brought you?

Hey wassup? Cubanalust .com ,I got the internet going nuts!! oh yes! i was shocked when i posted my first video up and got 5,000 veiws in one day just sending a shout out to my friend along with a lil dancing in my living room.
Do people recognize you in the streets now since the success of the videos?
Yes it’s good to have my beauty recignized and admired feels good i ain’t gonna lie.
I know that you once lived in South Florida when you were younger. When was the last time you went back?
Yeah, i did i havent been their in about 4 years now tho.
I’m sure get some crazy pick up lines. What is the craziest myspace message you have got and what is the craziest line you heard while in the club?
Oh my goodness yes it is crazy ok, their are so many of them i don’t know where 2 start let me tell you lol i get the funny, phsyco, crazy, wild, romantic, sexy, werid, annoying, and the unexplainable lol im at a lost 4 words. right now just trying to think of 1 lol im going nuts right now.
What is your biggest turn offs and turn on’s when meeting a guy?
turn on have me thinking like DAMN!HE IS DEFINATLEY POPPIN’
turn off is NUH UH!! HE IS NOT POPPIN’ OK I HOPE HE REALLY WASN’T SERIOUS.
Are you single?
proud to say ,that yes i am.
I see that you recently launched your own website. How is the website doing?
yes www.cubanalust.com is up and poppin’ it’s hot and sexy just like me it’s doing great its only been up a week and im getting alot of traffic check it out for your self. I have a few galleries and 4 steaming videos. You can read my bio to know some more about me and check for updates.
You are definitely the new it girl in the industry! Have you run into any hate from other female models or dancers?
Im this new girl and all the chicks think i want their man lol and that im going to take him away because he can’t stop looking ,talkin and fantasizing about me.
Some models and dancers see me as a threat because all eyes on me now! Honestly im just here to do my thang & get it poppin’ sorry who ever feels bad about their self.
You are notorious for your sexy curves, but mostly that tattoo!. Tells us about the tattoo, a lot of people want to know the history behind that
.
Oh my goodness oh my gooooodness the tattoo, well i firt really wanted to get a lion because im a leo, but i thought the panther would look sexier on the booty and yes it hurt like cojones conyo ok and above that it says reddy yes it says reddy above that.
You are clearly a female that’s on her grind and about her paper. How important is it to stay on top of your game in this industry?
as long as i keep my mind on what makes me happy ill be successful at whatever i do. Thats how i stay on top then the paper and the rest lands into place.
What is a misunderstanding that a lot of guys have about you because you dance and Model?
their like what is going on is she a dancer, a model, porn star what is going on lol im a dancer and i model as well now. I am not a porn star and no i will not be doind any in the future im not intrested in doing porn or else i would have been doing it by now. I know it’s close to it but not exactly.
People think that you are new to the scene but I actually seen that you did a lot of magazines and videos in the past. Have long have you been modeling and dancing?
I did some things here and their for friends or people i knew but i was focused on finishing my school in business and other things that i had to haandle in life at the time. So i was more focused on that. All of a sudden i had an ambition for what im doing now and i love it so i decided to persue it to the fullest and now i got the internet going nuts and my own www.cubalust.com
What advice would you give to an up and coming model that wants to get on your level?
the advice is get on your own level do you don’t try to copy or be like someone else be yourself and love what you do. you can’t get on my level cuz that’s (my) level get on yours
I know you got some big things planned for the future. What are you working on now?
I just finished Cubanalust the dvd keep an eye out for that. my new site www.cubanalust.com . I shot for the cover of straight stunnin’ magazine with ray j .Also sweets magazine also check me out on the cover of juice magazine in the u.k and my exclusive interveiw with true stories radio it just don’t stop
I notice your ear for music is really good; you always dance to hot music in your videos. Who are some of your favorite artist?
Thanx i love all kinds of music and i like a little bit of everything in a the artist music i cannot make a choice of who exatly everytime i turn around their is another bangin’ song
DJ’S VS ARTIST
THE GREAT DEBATE
BY: J-Prince (POTC)

Recently there has been a great debate in Music about the importance of The DJ. In recent reports Jermaine Dupri has stated that the DJ is Dead, and just recently Lil Wayne set the Hip Hop community on fire by saying fuck all DJ’s. The confrontations have even turned [...]

DJ’S VS ARTIST

BY: J-Prince (POTC)

Recently there has been a great debate in Music about the importance of The DJ. In recent reports Jermaine Dupri has stated that the DJ is Dead, and just recently Lil Wayne set the Hip Hop community on fire by saying fuck all DJ’s. The confrontations have even turned physical with Game attacking a DJ in Dc a while back. My question is who is more important the DJ or the artist? If you think about it one hand watches the other, because if the artist stopped making music the DJ would be out of work and if the DJ stopped playing the Music the artist would be out of work. So can’t we all just get along!

We are now in a time where the DJ has become just as big as the actual artist; Look at the success of DJ Khaled, Who Kid, Funk mast Flex, and DJ Drama. These DJ’s have taken the art form to another Level. DJ’s are releasing albums, getting shoe deals, and becoming power players in Hip Hop. The DJ has become the new celebrity in music business, But with the recent success of the DJ’s there has been somewhat of a downfall to the culture.

Back in the days the DJ’s played the background and broke records. In those days DJ’s were not afraid to take risk, they just wanted to be the first to play a record. Some DJ’s of Today don’t know the true element of Breaking records and actually keeping a crowd rocking. Today’s generation of DJ’S never touched a turntable or even know what a record looks like, Now don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with laptops and I-pods, but today’s DJ Needs to educate themselves on the art form.

A lot of artists are frustrated with the DJ because of the politics they must go through to get their record played. Radio and Club DJ’S are not playing shit! Unless you breaking them off, and that’s killing the culture. If an artist gives me a record that’s dope I am going to play it! Today the DJ has become more corporate and developed the “what have you done for me lately attitude.

In a way the DJ Has become the competition for the artist, now DJ’s produce and make their own albums. Just last year DJ Khaled had three Top Ten hits on the radio, for a DJ that’s unheard of. Today’s DJ’s are managers of artist now, so that means they are going to play their artist music before anybody else’s. It’s a constant battle between the DJ and the artist. The DJ has been playing the background is it their time to shine? To be continued.

Allot of people talk about grinding and putting in work, but truly have know idea what it takes to truly reach that next level of success. We got a chance to sit down with a man who is truly on his grind, DJ J-prince out of South Florida. Prince has labeled himself “Mr. Everything” in recent interviews. If you’re familiar with the South Florida Entertainment Scene than J -Prince is a name that should Ring a bell. J prince is currently the South Florida Marketing rep for G-Unit records, He is a club/mixtape/radio DJ, C.E.O of his own entertainment company, a staff writer and Marketing Director for Nine5four Magazine

NINE5FOUR: first of all let me say wow! And how the hell do you do it?

J-PRINCE: A whole lot of Red bull…lol. No but seriously i have been blessed to have great opportunities in my life. I love what I do so it never feels like work.

NINE5FOUR I know about all of your mixtapes. What made you want to attack the mixtape scene so hard this past year after the DJ Drama incident?

J-PRINCE: I just wanted to create a movement especially hear in Ft Lauderdale. There are not many mixtape DJ’s in Ft Lauderdale, so I wanted to establish the home team movement and put 954 on the map. If you go to Miami everybody and they mama is a DJ. I just want Ft Lauderdale to be represented like khaled is the DJ face of Miami. I want to be the DJ face of Ft Lauderdale.

NINE5FOUR: like you said there are allot of mixtapes out there, what separates you and DJ kreep’s mixtapes?

J-PRINCE: First of all we actually Mix…lol allot of these Internet DJ’s go on lime wire and download songs and call themselves a mixtape DJ. The game has become so over saturated with the fake, that its easy to shine! We treat mixtapes like albums. This is what we do so we put in 100 percent to make sure our shit is on point. It could take us like a month to finish one tape, we are real perfectionist.

NINE5FOUR: Give our readers a run down on your Mixtape resume?..

J-PRINCE we dropped the producers series volume 1 and 2. Those tapes feature the best work from the top producers. Volume one featured terror squad producers. Volume 2 featured the nasty beat makers and the Runners out of Orlando. We dropped a E ness tape for Bad boy records, we have like 5 tapes with local artist. We just have been getting it in man!

Nine5four: How long have you and your partner been dropping tapes?

J-PRINCE: We have only been dropping mixtapes for about 1 year, and all ready have 12 tapes in the streets! We try to drop one or 2 a month

Nine5four: you also do allot of promotions and marketing for record labels, tell us about that.

J-PRINCE: Yea I’m actually the South Florida promo/marketing rep for G-unit Records and TVT records. I basically make sure that they are getting the right promotion in the south Florida Market. I also have to visit radio stations and make sure the artist record is being played.

NINE5FOUR: Sounds like allot of work,

J-PRINCE: I love what I do so I’m like a kid in the Candy store! At the end of the day it’s about good music and both Labels are great!

Start Your Company While Employed

Unless you have a chart-topping rap album or plan or your playing for the San Antonio Spurs chances are that the only way you’re going to become a millionaire is by starting your own business. Of course, you could still try your lluck at the impossible odds of winning the lottery. All of us want to make p diddy and bill gates money, which is head and shoulders above the pocket change that most of us are making in the employ of our current company. Unfortunately, that pocket change is what’s paying our rent, car lease and all the trimmings of our semi-fabulous lifestyle .We basically need our day job!So, how do you start your new company without giving up the comfort of your current salary?

You don’t need to drop everything in order to start your company. You don’t even need to quit your day . It is very possible to launch your entrepreneurial venture and keep some cash in the bank, as well as your cash flow, at the same time. Among the more important elements of making your dream a reality is a solid moonlighting plan.

The internet hookup

Years ago (you know, in 1995), getting a company started was really expensive and took a long time. Fortunately, those days are gone. Today it’s possible to set up everything you need in a weekend for a few hundred bucks.Once you’ve developed a business plan and selected a name for your upstart, incorporate your company online at such sites as MyCorporation.com or BizFilings.com. It costs less than $400 and only requires about 30 minutes of your time.

Next, you’ll need an eye-catching business card with your company’s name, your name and, most importantly, your new title of CEO. Again, visit the web and go to sites such as VistaPrint.com, where you can get professional-quality business cards printed for as little as $10.

Your cards are going to need a web address printed on them if you want to have some semblance of a modern company. For about $50 you can set up a domain name, e-mail account and website at GoDaddy.com. You can also really impress potential clients with a stylized website. Visit TemplateMonster.com to download a professional-looking website template for $50 or more and customize it appropriately.

Keep it quiet

Now that you’re the newly appointed CEO of “You Inc.,” you probably want to brag to all of your friends and coworkers about your status. But unless you want to spend the next few months searching for a new job to pay for the roof over your head instead of building your company, you’re better off keeping your mouth shut. You need to be Tony Soprano-quiet about this kind of work. Your boss wants you working on stuff that’s company related, not on building your own empire on the company dole. The sooner you start letting the word out that your head is elsewhere, the sooner your body will follow.

Working overtime

The cost of getting paid from your employer while working on your new gig is called “sleep.” It’s expensive, but surely you have some to spare to become the next P DIDDYIf you plan on keeping those regular paychecks coming in, you’ll need to work double-time for a while. No one said that starting a new company would be easy, though it does tend to pay better once it’s established.

The best way to manage your new scheduLE is to keep regular business hours for your new company. That means that from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. you’re the all-powerful CEO of your new venture, but from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. you’re back to pushing TPS reports in cubicle hell.

Focus on the fourth customer

At some point you’re going to want to bust out of your corporate shackles and strike out on your own for good. Sure, greed is good, Mr. Gekko, but you’d better make sure you have a real and legitimate business on your hands before you set out to conquer the world. You have to be real with yourself and know that getting the first paying customer for a new business might be tough, but getting the second, third and fourth paying customer is even harder. The difference between a paying project and a viable company is a constant stream of customers, not just one guy with a check.

stay strong

Your plan should be to stick with your current gig right up until the point where it’s actually costing you money to show up at your day job. Until that time, you shouldn’t plan on making any trouble with your full-time gig. In the event that things with your new company go south, you’ll be glad you didn’t kill the Golden Goose.A plan isn’t about getting out of your job as quickly as possible; the plan is about staying with your current job as long as possible. Nothing beats having a regular income while you’re trying to get your new company afloat, even if it costs you more than a few nights of sleep.

IT PAY$ TO BE INDEPENDENT: By J-PRINCE (POTC)

In the past 10 years Hip Hop has become a huge financial powerhouse. In 2006 Hip Hop grosses and astounding 500 million dollars in revenue. Record labels and large corporations are cashing in on the success. A big part of the success comes from Hip Hop artist establishing their own companies and investing in lucrative business ventures. The current trend today in Hip Hop is owning your own label. Its kind of like somebody asking you do u want to rent an apartment or own a house? ..It’s really a no brainier. There are different Kind of label deals . . . for example in the late 90’s Rap mogul Master P was able to work out an 80/20 split with Universal. This meant that universal handled all of the promotions/ Marketing and distribution of all cd’s. This was a power move because Universal is the biggest distribution imprint in Music. This deal seems lop sided, but everybody ultimately wins . . . For example. Universal agreed to this deal with Master P, because Prior to the Mass distribution deal Master P sold over 500,000 copies on the street alone. Distribution companies will easily take that risk, because they know that Master P has a huge fan base and that without major promotion. Once the marketing muscle of a Universal gets behind you than the possibilities are endless and the were as Master P’s first album sold millions of records. Artist today are truly maximizing their potential by independent ownership of companies. The artist wants to keep the labels out of their pocket. It was reported in the early 90’s that the hit R&B act TLC was only getting cents on each cd sold. TLC sold millions of records during their run, but still ended up going bankrupt. Artist today are learning from the financial pitfalls of the industry. They have living testimony from artists like Mc Hammer and TLC.

Ths second and most popular form of the independent route is signing to independent labels. The most notable Independent label is Koch entertainment. Independent labels like Koch or TVT records will allow the artist to have full creative control of their projects. Koch is the ideal label for artist who may not be as popular to the mainstream audience. Artists like “BG,” jim Jones, and the LOX are signed to Koch. Independent labels generally don’t promote their artist as well as major labels. Promotions and marketing is generally handled by the artist. Some labels will only pay a certain percentage toward video shoots our marketing. Record labels usually will pay artist five cents to a dollar per cd . . . In dependent labels pay their artist 5-8 dollars per cd now do u get it? . Most labels invest millions of dollars in marketing and promotions and the cd only sells 500,000 copies, they lose money on that project. In the independent market an artist can recoup money spent with one week sales. For example Lil Johns Classic cd “Crunk Juice” sold over 2 million records independently. Now multiply that by 8 dollars per cd….that’s insane money! Even established acts are taking the independent route, because they to want that big return on their cd. There is no pressure to move a large amount of units, If an artist can move about 200-500,000 on a cd, that’s a huge success. So now with this knowledge learned would you go with a label or go independent . . . I think I know your answer. Record labels are like cooperate pimps . . . Please don’t become their Ho!
